Just hours after revealing the exit of drummer Alex Bent, TRIVIUM wasted no time in naming his successor: Greyson Nekrutman. Bent’s departure closes a nine-year chapter that marked some of the most acclaimed releases in TRIVIUM’s modern era, while Nekrutman’s arrival adds yet another twist to an already eventful year in the world of Metal drumming.

The 23-year-old Nekrutman, known for his technical prowess and explosive energy, had recently joined SEPULTURA in February 2024, following his departure from SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. His stint with the Brazilian legends came in the wake of Eloy Casagrande’s abrupt move to Slipknot earlier that same month.

Greyson Nekrutman will play drums for the band at the Aftershock festival in Sacramento, California as well as on “The Ascend Above The Ashes” North American tour.
