The Release Athens 2026 welcomes TRIVIUM on Thursday, July 9, at Plateia Nerou. One of the most important bands of modern metal, with a 25-year career at the top of the scene, will appear alongside the legendary PANTERA in a night of special—and historic—significance, as both bands will perform in our country for the first time.

TRIVIUM were formed in 1999 in Orlando, USA, and are among the most influential bands in modern heavy metal. With a sound that balances melodic metal, metalcore, and more extreme branches of the scene, such as thrash and death metal, they managed from early on to stand out thanks to their explosive compositions and intense stage presence.
Major recognition came with the album “Ascendancy” (2005), which is now considered a classic, achieving significant sales and receiving top distinctions: album of the year for Kerrang!, gold in the United Kingdom, and, retrospectively, a place among the 15 best metal albums of the century according to Metal Hammer. This was followed by equally high-quality and commercially successful releases, such as “The Sin and the Sentence” (2017), which earned them a Grammy nomination in the Best Metal Performance category, as well as “In the Court of the Dragon” (2021), perhaps their most complete release to date.
Matt Heafy (vocals, guitar), Corey Beaulieu (guitar), Paolo Gregoletto (bass), and Alex Bent (drums) have more than 1 million sales, hundreds of sold-out concerts, and half a billion streams—and they show no intention of stopping. On Thursday, July 9, we will see this firsthand, at their highly anticipated first appearance in Greece, alongside the legendary PANTERA.
