Whipworm: Release new album “Death Beyond”!

Thrash/death metal from Λος Άντζελες, Whipworm, returns with their fifth full-length album, “Death Beyond”, a conceptual journey that further pushes the band’s characteristic combination of aggression, tension and narrative.

«Death Beyond» follows the story of a man who receives a mysterious gramma, which describes future events that should be impossible for him to know. As the story unfolds, he soon realizes that the content of the letter is not only true, but also that it is leading him to an unfathomable destiny — a path that might lead him to question and eventually slay the throne of God.

Musically, the album demonstrates Whipworm’s ability to combine elements of thrash and death metal with unstoppable energy and technical precision. Synthric riffs, dark drum patterns and dark, atmospheric passages are combined to create a disc that is both atmospheric and cinematic.
The band was formed in Λος Άντζελες in 2020, when Travis Weinand (vocals, κιθάρες, μπασο) and ο Dave Ferrara (τύμπανα) started writing music together during the global pandemic. What started as a way to remain musically active quickly evolved into a complete project with its own identity and vision.

Combining multiple metal styles with naturalness within each composition, Whipworm deliver a sound that pays homage to the entire spectrum of heavy music, while maintaining their own aggressive and dynamic approach.
