Although this EP doesn’t really fit in with the general style of our magazine, when I hear a unique voice, I can’t ignore it. Such is the voice of Justin Brett of the Italian-British band REVERSED CHAKRA, with its warm and comforting gravel and indie rock twists.

REVERSED CHAKRA recently released their new EP, “Rarefied”, which includes four songs. The cornerstones of the EP are, on the one hand, the cover of DURAN DURAN’s “Wild Boys,” which transforms this legendary pop song into an atmospheric indie rock anthem, and, on the other hand, the highly successful “Game Of Chess,” which was their first single and became a big hit on all platforms thanks to its accessible sound and catchy chorus. The other two songs on the EP, “Dust” and “All The Way Down,” are in the same vein. They are full of powerful melodies with classic guitars or keyboards, as in “Dust,” cinematic aesthetics, and Brett standing out for his performance.

REVERSED CHAKRA clearly made their mark with “Rarefied”, following in the footsteps of EDITORS, KINGS OF LEON, PLACEBO, and others, as they themselves state on their official website.
