Västmanland doom collective Hexjakt have just unveiled a lyric video for their crushing new single “Monolith,” the first glimpse of their forthcoming full-length, due later this year via Majestic Mountain Records in collaboration with Burning Skull Records.
A towering slab of bleak, uncompromising doom, “Monolith” embodies the suffocating weight and oppressive beauty at the heart of Hexjakt’s sound: slow, monolithic, and emotionally charged.
Formed in 2024, Hexjakt channel the spirit of classic doom into something distinctly their own, blending colossal riffs, suffocating atmospheres, and introspective lyrics that delve into the occult, human frailty, and the vast unknown.
Their debut EP, released earlier this year, drew glowing praise from both critics and fans for its depth, intensity, and immersive aura. On stage, Hexjakt’s performances are as punishing as they are hypnotic, dragging audiences into a world of gloom, weight, and revelation.
