New single from SOEN for “Discordia”

SOEN are a band capable of tearing into your flesh with sheer power and, moments later, soothing the wound with breathtaking melodies — and the new single “Discordia” is no exception. The song takes the listener on a sonic exploration, contrasting rich, dark moments with crushing waves of relentless intensity.

“Discordia is the result of pushing ourselves into different territories, both sonically and emotionally,” comments founding member and drummer Martin Lopez. “We experimented with darker textures to capture the fall from self-protection into isolation.”

“The track exists in the tension between the need for connection and the tendency to build walls to avoid pain. It is a work born of vulnerability and of our desire to explore the uncomfortable corners of our sound,” adds vocalist and frontman Joel Ekelöf.
