Finnish band PlusMinusZero release their new single “Wasted” on June 26th, 2026 through Downfall Records.

The Helsinki-based band was founded in 2025. Although PlusMinusZero is a new name, the musicians behind it have known each other for years and have already shared earlier projects, albums, tours, radio airplay and TV appearances in Finland.

“Wasted” introduces the band with a melodic and catchy hard rock/metal sound, shaped by the members’ long history together and their return to heavier roots. Their background goes back to a shared love for bands such as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Dio, Helloween and Scorpions, while the single itself sits closer to Finnish melodic rock and metal references such as Uniklubi, Happoradio, Negative, Altaria, Sara and Charon.

Since autumn 2025, PlusMinusZero have been independently recording and mixing new material. “Wasted” is one of the first results of that work, bringing the band’s experience into a direct, guitar-driven song with a strong melodic focus.
