NONTINUUM, the Australian post-black metal band, return after more than a decade of silence with “As I Leave This Body”, their first official new music since 2012 and the initial glimpse into the long‑awaited follow‑up to “The Stars You Gathered, The Stars I Destroyed”.
Founded in 2010 as a bedroom recording project rooted in atmospheric and depressive black metal, the band released their debut demo “Dwelling In Oceans” through Misanthropic Art Productions. Their first full‑length, “The Stars You Gathered, The Stars I Destroyed” (2012), gained international underground attention before the group quietly disappeared in 2013. More than a decade later, the original line‑up reunited for a special performance at Essence Festival in 2025, marking the beginning of a new chapter.

“As I Leave This Body” expands on the atmosphere and melancholy that defined their early work, while the songwriting moves beyond black metal conventions. Sonically, the track aligns as naturally with Hum and The Smashing Pumpkins as it does with Sólstafir and Drudkh, blending expansive guitars, understated melodies and immersive production. Nontinuum expect a full EP release in january 2027.
The single is now available on all major streaming platforms.
