Frontman Frank Herzig on the song’s message: “In the end, ‘Besser als der Rest’ (Better than the Rest) is about one thing: to enjoy the moment, to celebrate every day and night, and to never get locked in – neither by others nor yourself. This song is a call to leave your daily routine behind and to live your life to the fullest. The line ‘Wir singen schiefer, wir baggern schlechter’ (We sing flatter, we shark worse) makes clear: It’s not about perfection or adaptation but energy, passion, and authenticity. ‘Besser als der Rest’ isn’t arrogant – this is our statement: we’re different, we’re loud, we’re simply us – and we don’t care what other people think of us.”
