Stoner metal legends Sleep have officially announced their brand-new album, “Hempispheres,” marking their first full-length release since the acclaimed The Sciences (2018).
Hempispheres will be released digitally on September 3, while physical editions will follow on October 30 via Third Man Records. Alongside the announcement, the band has unveiled the album’s second single, “The Morrisist,” which is now available on all major streaming platforms.
The new era of Sleep also introduces a refreshed lineup. Joining founding members Al Cisneros (vocals, bass) and Dale Crover (drums) is guitarist Bubba Dupree (Void), who takes over guitar duties following Matt Pike’s departure from the band. According to Sleep, Hempispheres remains firmly rooted in the band’s signature hypnotic, heavy sound while embracing a sharper and more agile approach inspired by the chemistry of the new lineup.
The album features five tracks, including the previously released “Have Spacesuit Will Travel,” which debuted earlier this year.

To support the release, Sleep will embark on an extensive North American tour throughout September and November, performing more than 30 shows across the United States and Canada.
“The Morrisist” is available now on all streaming services, while physical pre-orders for Hempispheres will open on September 3.
