ACTIVE INTERSECTION is a creative collaboration between Finnish vocalist and songwriter Kate Nord, American composer and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Campbell, and poet Merika Campbell on lyrics, making space disco music with a progressive rock twist out of Cleveland, Ohio.
The unique sound of ACTIVE INTERSECTION: Space music, synthesizers, Progressive Rock, and Disco bass lines come together with multilayered vocals.
”The Only Way Is Through” is the first music video for the debut album “Traveling Without Moving”.
The band has the following to say about this:
”The video follows a journey where the traveler isn’t exactly lost, but temporarily negotiating with the universe about directions. The visual theme revolves around transformation and letting go of limiting beliefs.
We chose the visual element of the tunnel to signify the crossing of thresholds – What will go with you, and what will you leave behind as you move from one scene to the next?
May this song be a reminder to you that clarity rarely hangs out by the exit sign; it is more likely to show up after you’ve kept going, even when the trail fades before you and the map looks like it was drawn by a sphinx with a sense of humor.
The only way is through – and sometimes the view on the other side is worth every confusing plot twist on the way.”
