AMONGRUINS: Announce New Drummer!

With a statement posted on the band’s social media, AmongRuins announced their new drummer. Read more below.

We are extremely proud to finally introduce the newest member of the AmongRuins family: Stelios Ppnds, our new drummer.

Stelios has been a friend of ours for years, and we have watched and admired him behind the kit long before he became part of AmongRuins. We’ve seen him play with different bands, on different stages, and every time, the same thought kept coming back: One day, we want that guy behind our drum kit. Guess what!!! Now, he finally is!

His sound is exactly what we wanted for AmongRuins: massive, tight, aggressive and precise. Pure headbanging material and we know he’ll give everything he has to this band and make the whole crowd move.

But his role in AmongRuins goes beyond the drum kit.
He has already been helping us with many aspects of the band, and from now on, he will also be the man behind many of the videos and visual content we’ll be sharing with you through our social media.
And this is only the beginning.

We already know that the next record we make together is going to be a different experience, even for us. We are genuinely excited to see where this combination takes AmongRuins, both in the studio and on stage.
So, welcome to the family, Stelios.
Together, we’re going to give you the best AmongRuins experience we possibly can, in the studio and, most importantly, on live stage.
Promise.

As a little taste of what’s coming, a drum performance of “Advent of Chaos” will take place the next few days.
And while we’re here, we want to give a massive thank you to our previous drummer, Scott Naylor who stood behind the AmongRuins drum kit and carried the role with everything he had.
He is one of the best guys we could have shared this journey with, and although our paths are now separating for purely practical reasons, there is nothing but respect and gratitude from our side. We wish him nothing but the best for everything that lies ahead for him in England.
New chapter. Same fire.

See you on the stage.
