“Folie à Deux”, meaning “madness of two” or “shared psychosis,” is NUMENTO’s most theatrical and dramatic song to date. It is a chilling, true-crime-inspired story of tragic love, centered around a shared and distorted illusion of love built on control and lies. The psychosis is so deeply intertwined with identities that breaking free would require the complete destruction of a sense of self. Yet, staying in a familiar hell feels easier — with fatal consequences. Two perspectives woven into the lyrics add further depth to the story which ultimately reaches a devastating conclusion.
