Though further details have yet to be shared, the festival will take place in Villa Park in Ozzy Osbourne’s hometown of Birmingham, England. The location holds a lot of significance, specifically being the site of the now legendary Back to the Beginning event, which wound up being Ozzy’s final performance.
Many celebrations of Ozzy’s legacy have taken place in the town since his passing on July 22, 2025, including the inaugural Ozzy Day, a day of festivities honoring the Prince of Darkness one year after his death. The free event featured several tributes to the icon, including art installations, street performances, and various musical performances among other activities.
Sharon Osbourne had all but officially confirmed the return of the iconic festival over the last few months. She’s mentioned it and teased it in interviews—particularly when discussing Ozzy’s likeness being turned into an AI avatar to be used during future events and possible performances.
When the AI collaboration between the Osbourne family and tech companies Hyperreal and Proto Hologram was first announced in May of this year, Sharon revealed intentions to have AI Ozzy a feature at the planned 2027 Ozzfest, as his avatar will be interactive and allow fans to engage with him in real time.
As well, while speaking with her son Jack on their shared The Osbournes Podcast earlier this year in March, Sharon did say how she hopes to someday bring Ozzfest to the United States for two dates.
“We want to hear from everyone where we should go in America,” she said to Jack at the time. “We’ve got to find a lot of young, new talent, because that’s what your dad would want.” As of right now, no official plans or details for any U.S. Ozzfest dates have been revealed, so it’s not sure exactly when the fest would return to America, if it happens at all.
