ANTHRAX just released, “It’s For The Kids”, on Friday, May 15. The track is the first single from the band’s long-awaited new studio album, “Cursum Perficio”, due on September 18 in North America via Megaforce and in Europe through Nuclear Blast. The mixing sessions, as well as some of the recording sessions, for the LP took place at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Northridge, California. ANTHRAX once again worked with producer Jay Ruston, who previously helmed 2016’s “For All Kings” and 2011’s “Worship Music” albums.
The Latin phrase was engraved on a tile at the entryway of Marilyn Monroe’s final home. Although many people have interpreted the phrase to mean “My journey ends,” it translates more literally to “I will persevere” or “I accomplish my course”.
“Cursum Perficio” will reportedly contain 11 songs, including “Persistence Of Memory”, “The Long Goodbye”, “Everybody’s Got A Plan”, “The Edge Of Perfection”, “Infectious”, “NYC 93”, “Cursum Perficio”, “T.O.M.B.”, “Watch It Go” and “My Victory”.
